The end of 2020 is almost here, and it seems that this year has brought some groundbreaking records for paper gold. Is there more to come?

Although 2020 is not over, the year has already seen gold-backed ETFs (aka paper gold) hitting record after record:

  • 10 months in a row of positive inflow.
  • 1,000 tons of inflow (the previous record was 2009 with only 646 tons).
  • A total of 3,880 tons of assets under management.

In the chart below, you can see the worldwide inflows of paper gold products:

So, with still a couple of months left before 2020 is over, we'll stay on the lookout (👀) for more groundbreaking records.
