Royal Australian Gold Lunar Coins
The Royal Australian Mint produces gold coins to celebrate the Chinese Lunar New Year, one of the most important holidays in China. These wonderful coins were first introduced in 1996 and are produced annually with the corresponding animal.
One side represents the year of issuance, the calendar animal, its Chinese symbol, the weight and purity of the coin, 24 carats (99.99% fine gold).On the reverse side is Queen Elizabeth II, the face value and all the miniature animals of the Chinese calendar such as the golden pig 2019 or the golden dog 2018.
