Gold Kangaroo Coins
The kangaroo gold coin series was introduced in 1993 by the Royal Australian Mint. These coins are truly unique as they are one of the few gold coins whose design changes every year.
The gold coin depicts the famous Australian red kangaroo jumping between leaves and plants typical of the region. The coin also depicts the Commonwealth star and the reverse side of the coin depicts Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

The Royal Australian Mint Gold Kangaroo coins can be issued in 1 oz, ½ oz, ¼ oz, 1/10 oz, and 1/20 oz. The obverse side of the coin features the Queen of the Commonwealth - Queen Elizabeth II. The reverse side of the coin is the one that frequently changes. It displays a red kangaroo - the international symbol of Australia.
